Interim Director, Health Information Management Services, Stanford Medical Center, Palo Alto, CA
Contracted to Lucile Packard Children's Hospital to provide interim leadership of the department until a director was recruited. Provided leadership of the Health Information Management Services Department during the transition from an existing electronic medical record to a new electronic medical record system.
Director of Health Information Services, University of Wisconsin Hospital
Directed department of 140+ FTEs supporting 540 bed university teaching acute adult and pediatric hospital, level one trauma center, and burn center, with associated clinics, treating over 500,000 patients annually.
Director, Medical Records, The Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, NE
Recruited to The Nebraska Medical Center to expand the Medical Record Department role in the continued development and implementation of the electronic medical record. Directed department of 90+ FTE's supporting an academic medical center and a private practice hospital with 793 acute care beds and associated clinics.
Interim HIM Director, Cleveland Clinic Health System
Provided the required knowledge and leadership needed to turn around backlogs and personnel issues in various HIM departments. Successfully prepared for JCAHO/AOA surveys and met all established goals, including a significant improvement in physician relations.
HIM Director, Midwestern Hospital
Direct Management responsibility of all functions of the department, which had a staff of 16 FTE and served a 99 bed Acute Care Hospital and a 118 bed Long Term Care Facility. Responsible for Medical Transcription/Coding functions, Utilization Review, and Continuous Quality Improvement efforts Association-wide. Also served as HIM advisor for three neighboring Association-Owned Clinics.
Vice President, Midwestern CMS QIO
Recruited to lead projects that improve patient safety and quality of care in Midwestern Hospitals and Physician Office Practices under contracts with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
Vice President, Payment Error Prevention Program (PEPP)
Recruited to create a PEPP department to reduce Medicare payment errors. Hired and developed staff of seven healthcare professionals; developed departmental procedures and implemented program.
