About the Ship:
One of Carnival's Super Liners, Inspiration is one of the newer additions to Carnival’s Fantasy class. It’s similar in atmosphere to the Carnival Elation (2009 Annual Cruise); as one of Carnival’s signature “Fun Ships,” Inspiration is geared toward the active traveler in search of a rocking good time; families and couples of all ages cavort in the ship’s many pools, restaurants, bars, and lounges, packing as much entertainment as possible into their time on board.
2007 Evolutions of Fun Upgrade As of November, 2007 the Evolutions of Fun refurbishments have been completed onboard the Carnival Inspiration. The enhancements made to the ship include completely redesigned interior decor, newly refurbished showlounges, bars and public spaces. All staterooms have been outfitted with the Carnival Comfort Bed system and have received upgrades in the bathroom, with porcelain sinks. In addition every stateroom has a new interior color scheme and flat screen TVs. Most notably are the additions that have been made to the Lido deck. The Lido restaurant has received a complete cosmetic renovation and new furnishings. The Lido deck itsself has also received a complete re-design. The slide has been removed which provides more walking space on the starboard side of the ship. In addition, spiral staircases were added mid-deck for passengers to descend from the Verandah Deck. The pools were thoroughly cleaned and redesigned with faux palm tree coverings over several bench areas. The whirlpools have also received new tiling and palm tree canopies. The performance stage received a new cover. The largest change is located on the Verandah Deck aft. This area, once home to a small basketball court and a round pool surrounded by a sunning area, is now host to Carnival Waterworks. With a 4 deck high spiral waterslide and an adjacent 82' racing slide, as well as play areas featuring geysers and other various water play instruments. Another addition is the Serenity Adult area located aft on Promenade deck. The area is designed for guests over eighteen years of age. It includes two hot tubs, and over sized lounge chairs for sun bathing. Upon entering the vessel, passengers step into the seven-deck-high Grand Atrium. On deck, there's an outdoor jogging track, and three swimming pools sparkle in the sun. Carnival Elation's revitalizing spa offers everything from soothing massage to pampering beauty treatments, and the ship's fitness center features everything from state-of-the-art equipment to instructor-led aerobics classes. For quieter moments, passengers can step into the Mark Twain Library. And for kids, there is a 2,500-square-foot facility that is part of Camp Carnival featuring age-appropriate supervised activities. | DINING | | | Carnivale and Mardi Gras Dining Rooms (main dining rooms) These two spacious dining rooms host four dinner seatings nightly; they’re the epicenter of Inspiration's culinary universe. Passenger favorites include lamb shank, lobster, and Carnival’s selection of vegetarian dishes and heart-healthy lighter fare. Service is also typical of the cruise line: Servers are knowledgeable, friendly, and skilled at their jobs. Be aware, though; the wait staff typically performs a number of humorous song and dance routines.
| | Brasserie Bar & Grill Serving three impressive meals each day, this Lido Deck eatery is one of Inspiration’s highlights. Breakfast includes omelets, meats, pancakes, and fruits. Lunch features a rotating theme of international cuisine, with Italian, French, and American menus available on different days. For dinner, the Brasserie serves a slightly abridged version of the main dining rooms’ dinner menu. Bonus: passengers can eat their meals al fresco on the Lido Deck.
| | Pizzeria Located inside the Brasserie, this 24-hour pizza kitchen serves six types of slices and calzones. It’s also one of the ship’s most popular late-night destinations.
| | Lido Grill American cuisine at its best, including cheeseburgers, hot dogs, fries, chili, sautéed mushrooms, and fresh salads.
| | Sushi bar Imagination’s small sushi bar serves complimentary fresh rolls from 5 PM to 8:30 PM nightly.

Grand Cayman Island
Among the three Cayman Islands, Grand Cayman is overwhelmingly the largest, the most visited, and offers the most variety of activities. Where the two smaller islands mainly cater to diving connoisseurs and nature enthusiasts, Grand Cayman welcomes a diverse crowd of people.
Cayman Islands
The local absence of taxes and many of the controls other nations place on their banking systems makes Grand Cayman one of the world's largest offshore financial centers, attracting an international set easily identified by their cell-phones and suits. But by far the larger group is the tourists: Club-goers, beach bums and diving devotees all call the island their paradise. You'll find it easy to enter whichever atmosphere pleases you, whether it's hectic tourist hotspots or remote island hideaways. Choose to spend all your time on the beach and in the nightlife, or use every day to explore one of over 250 diving sites in the island's crystal-clear water. Learn more about the Cayman Islands...
Cozumel Island With a Mexican heart and a Caribbean soul, Cozumel is a paradise where tradition, flavor and joy come together. You will always find a friendly face and a warm welcome to make your stay an unforgettable one.
Cozumel Area
Famous all over the world for its coral reefs, there are plenty of water sports such as diving, deep-sea fishing, snorkeling, kayaking and more. Cozumel's mostly undeveloped territory at the center of the island is covered by jungle and swampy lagoons, which are home to tiny mammals and endemic birds that have never left the island. Noteworthy is the Chankanaab National Park, a Cozumel icon, and the Punta Sur Ecological Reserve. This huge protected area at the southern tip of the island includes Punta Celarain and its historical lighthouse, as well as the Colombia Lagoon, a shelter for many of the island's endemic species, as well as other endangered forms of life, such as marine turtles and their nesting areas.
Not only is Cozumel breathtaking with its beautiful beaches and exotic locale, but it is also a short ferry ride away from the main coast of Mexico, just south of Cancun. With amazing cultural sites, tourist attractioins, and jungle excursions, Cozumel is an ideal destination for anyone looking to have the experience of a lifetime. | |
